Christmas Fun

Sprinkling reindeer food
Santa's remains...

Snuggled in his new bunk bed
Lovin' his new Yoda friend
Brothers and best buddies
Our family had a great Christmas this year! The boys got bunk beds and could not have been more excited! They actually ask if they can go to bed now to snuggle in their beds.
They spread lots of reindeer food for Santa's reindeer and left mint chocolate chip cookies and milk for Santa. Breakfast consisted of sticky buns and milk and later we had family come over to enjoy a late lunch. 10 adults and 2 kids was quite a house full - the boys had so much fun showing off all their new toys.

"Charlie"

caught playing Candyland with our Webkinz

hiding in the Christmas tree with the boys underwear decorating the tree

Our Elf Charlie has gotten into lots of mischief this holiday season. My boys are so excited every morning to see just what he's gotten into each night. It really has made the month of December a fun one for all of us.

Brotherly Love

My boys just love each other so much-most of the time, that is. After a long day, you can hear them tell each other, "I don't like you anymore." Mom knows the real story-they are the best of friends and my hope is that they ALWAYS will be!

Catchin' some critters
Scary Spider
Such beautiful flowers!
The swamp of Cypress Gardens
Big Brother's class went of a field trip to Cypress Gardens that I chaperoned a while back. It was such a beautiful place and so undiscovered. I was shocked at how noncommercial it was-although they did have a gift shop. They took us on a 20 minute canoe ride thru the swamp, gave us a tour of the butterfly house, gave us a lesson on insects and pollination, pond poking and ate lunch at picnic tables. It was so much fun!

Elf's Visit

My boys will be greeted tomorrow morning by one of Santa's helpers-The Elf on the Shelf. This will be the first year a little mischievous elf has visited our home. I am sure the boys will have lots of fun with him. Hopefully they will watch their behavior at least for the month of December since the elf will be reporting to Santa each night. I have a feeling our elf is going to get into lots and lots of trouble.

A boy, a wagon & a little lamb

My favorite little man loves to go on wagon rides, especially when his favorite little lamb comes along for the ride!

Fall

We visited my Mom in the NC mountains a few weeks ago. It was so beautiful and the leaves had just changed. The boys had such a good time hiking through the many trails and climbing rocks. I think they could have been perfectly content to just romp around in leaves and climb rocks all day.

Books...

Children's book author Toni Buzzeo visited my child's school last week and brought along some very cute books with her. Two of the ones I purchased are Dawdle Duckling and Little Loon and Papa. They are so fun and my boys love them. Toni Buzzeo lives in Maine where loons are cherished and plentiful, especially on Rangeley Lake, where she and her husband Ken have a cabin. Toni is the mother of a not-so-little "Loon" chick named Christopher. She is a media specialsist and former English teacher. Check out her website at: www.tonibuzzeo.com.

Trick-or-Treat

The boys had such fun trick or treating with our neighbors this year! We had Indiana Jones, a scary blue Ninja Turtle, a blue Power Ranger and a red Power Ranger. The boys got so... much candy it was crazy. Our neighborhood was buzzing with activity!

Myrtle Beach Days

My little golfers...
On the tarin up the mountain
a little shopping
My family loves our short trips to Myrtle Beach. The boys love it because we always take them to play putt putt. I love it too because I get to do some outlet shopping! It's just nice to be able to get away for even a few days and have some fun!
