Crafty....

Every once in a while I like to get a little "crafty." I don't really know why, it just makes me feel good... I got this idea for monogrammed Christmas ornaments from 40 Pink Piggies and thought they turned out pretty cute. Whatcha think?

All About Me...

Christmas....ALL ABOUT ME!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Depends on the size of the present. If I have a box big enough I will wrap in a box, if not I use a cute bag

2. Tree-real or artificial? Both, I have found over the years that one if just NOT enough

3. When do you put up the Christmas tree? Right after Thanksgiving, if possible

4. When do you take the tree down? New Years Day. I have always heard it's bad luck to leave it up past New Year's.

5. Like Egg Nog? Don't recall, but I'm buying some this year to refresh my memory

6. Do you have a Nativity scene? Yes, but one of the wise men got broken last year

7. Favorite gift rec'd as a child? Betty Crocker Easy Bake Oven, loved making cupcakes in that thing

8. Hardest person to buy for? Hubby, says he never wants anything

9. Easiest person to buy for? My kids, they like anything toy related

10. Mail or email Christmas card? Mail

11. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I try to start in the Fall

12. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Yes, but I feel guilty about it

13. Favorite food to eat on Christmas? Cookies and fudge

14. Lights on tree? I have always had white lights, but this year I have white lights on one tree and the old fashioned big colored bulbs on the other one, so much fun.....

15. Travel or stay home during Christmas? Usually travel, but only 2 hours away, but prefer to be home on Christmas morning

16. Can you name Santa's reindeer? Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen & Rudolph

17. Angel ot Star on top? Star

18. Open present on Christmas Eve or morning? One on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas Day

19. Most annoying thing at this time of year? The crazed look in shopper's eyes when panic sets in and let's not forget the traffic

20. Favorite ornanment? Ones the kids make at school, so cute...

21. What do you want for Christmas? A happy family

Nothin' like a tree....

My boys LOVE a climbing tree. Over Thanksgiving we attended the Damon Hunt Club Thanksgiving picnic. All Will wanted to do was climb and hang.... on the big tree. What fun they had......

Christmas Cookies

The boys and I made Christmas cookies this week. What I thought would be a magical bonding experience with my 2 small children turned into one LARGE mess. Trying to get a 5 year old & a 2 year old to share the bowl, the spoon and most importantly--the sprinkles was quite a feat in itself!!! The boys had so many squabbles (is that a word?) I began to wonder---"What am I doing and more importantly--- WHY????" I hope the boys had fun through all the crying because I had no idea how tired I would be when those cookies came out of the oven! Whewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww......

Christmas Past # 2

These pictures were taken in November of 2006. It's crazy to see how much the boys have grown, esp. Dargan. He was such a little fat round baby...Now he's just as skinny as his big brother was when he was that age. 2006 was a good year.....

Deal of the Day

I do pride myself in being a "GOOD" shopper. Let me translate a bit if I may. I am a FIRM believer that the MORE you shop, the BETTER shopper you become. I have repeatedly tried to explain this to my husband who just does NOT get it! But it's true-prime example was today. Being the CLEAN HOUSE (my favorite TV show) fanatic that I am, I took a load of stuff to my nearest Good Will this morning. Well, if I'm already there I thought I might as well take a peak inside. To my amazement I found this nearly NEW Kelly's Kids romper with a dump truck on the front! To top it off I got it for a mere $2.99!!! Now that has to be the deal of the day or maybe the week, or should I shudder to say-the month???? I'll let you decide....
