Favorite book right now

How can I begin to tell you how much I love the Twilight series of books? I LOVE them! I have had Eclipse since Sunday and am almost finished. If I didn't have 2 little boys requiring my undivided attention today, I would be on my couch and reading ALL day....

My Big Boy

Today Big Brother stayed home from school due to a bad cough that kept him (and me) up for most of the night. Of course, now that he's come and it's daylight he feels fine, but we still took a trip to see the doctor. Just a virus that's going around, rest and drink lots of fluids, blah blah. I was unaware of just how much fun it is to run errands, etc. with a 6 year old. It's like being with a good friend, just a much smaller friend. My favorite part of the morning before I made him lay down and take a rest (doctor's orders) was when he held my hand on the way into Lowe's and said, "Mommy, I like running errands with you." I think that made my day not to mention it was actually FUN...

Best Buds

Big Brother and his best buddy Matthew have been friends since they were babies. Born just 2 weeks apart -they are now on the same soccer team-Atlanta Bread. They are both are pretty darn good with a ball. Matthew was a born soccer player. That kid can take a ball and move it clear across the field to score a goal like nobody's business. He's sure to have a bright future in soccer. Big Brother is pretty good too-scored the winning goal in his game last Saturday and almost made 2! These boys have A LOT to look forward to-that's for sure...

Girl's Weekend '09

What a blast! I celebrated with a group of my oldest and dearest friends this past weekend in Myrtle Beach at our 6th annual Girl's Weekend. It's become a much-needed tradition for all of us and we look forward to it all year. I do have to admit -it sure was hard when it was over. What a bummer to have to come home to reality! Oh well, I guess one weekend a year, just being a girl, doing non-mom like activities, lots of shopping, combined with a little (LOT) of partying is good for the soul...
