Memories of 2003

Looking back at these pictures from October 2003, it seems so long ago. I thought my life was so BUSY then...If I only knew then what I know now! That special time of having what the textbooks refer to as an "Angel Baby." Will was the perfect child (and still is MOSTLY)-he slept thru the night at 6 weeks (for 12 hours straight) and continued to do so for the next 2 + years. Everyone told me that if I had another child, I would NOT get so... lucky. Well, it's sad, but true. Dargan did not sleep thru the night til he was about 6 months old and he's quite a handful, at times. When I look back now, I cannot imagine what my life would be like without either one of my boys. I am so very BLESSED.
The magic of fast food...
Dargan is only 2 years old and ALREADY has stumbled across the magic of the fast food industry, specifically-- McDonald's. How can a 2 year old love that place when he has only been there a couple of times in his life? It's not like we frequent the establishment very often-maybe ONCE a month... But the Adorable (I must say) way that Dargan asks to go to McDonald's is what gets me, "Get Donald's Mommy." How cute is that???

Swamp House, Part 2
We visited my Dad's swamp house over Thanksgiving this year. The boys had a GREAT time and so did our dogs. The little guys (all 5 of them-Daddy, Will, Dargan, Cooper & Ashley) got to run free in the woods with no sign of an impending car for at least 2 miles. A fun time was had by all this year in the "Swamp House."

A Mom's Pledge
I pledge allegiance
to the mothers
in the united state
of exhaustion,
and to the children
for which they care,
one sisterhood,
under stress,
over scheduled,
with freedom
and sanity for all.
