Back to School 2008

It's hard for me to believe, but my fisrt born son Will starts kindergarten this month! And so now I will start living the school-year schedule for a second time in my life, this time as a mother. I have to admit I am pretty excited. After spending hours tooling around the internet looking at backpacks from Pottery Barn, LL Bean and Lands End, we finally came to a decision. Will chose a critter pack from LL Bean complete with a shark and his initials embroidered on it. I saw the tears in other mother's eyes that first day of school, but it did not hit me until the 2nd day when I stepped back and really saw how much my little baby has grown. He's a big kid who stays at school til 2:30 every day of the week. When and how did this happen???

Dargan's 2nd Birthday

We celebrated Dargan's 2nd Birthday at TGI Friday's restaurant. We had planned a ELMO party at Isle of Palms County Park, but had to cancel it because of the weather. Dargan had a great time at the restaurant. Dargan and Will even wore their Elmo hats during dinner. When the staff came over to sing Happy Birthday to him he started screaming, although he did enjoy the cake and ice cream.

T-Ball-Summer 2008

Will's first year of sports was t-ball with the Mt. Pleasant Rec Department. He was on a team with 3 of his best buddies-Matthew Malak, Sawyer Shoemake and Caleb Hamlin. A great time was had by all-even little Dargan loved hanging out on the sidelines saying, "t-ball" over and over. It about drove Dargan crazy that he could not run out on the field and play ball with his big brother and Daddy. Daddy coached this year too which was great for Will. A few of the Moms told me that Will's t-ball skills had improved dramatically over the season.
