A typical day in the life....

This morning I at 4 am I woke to my pug Ashley barking in the back yard. Why was she out and better yet what the hell was she barking at??? I was so tired last night that I forgot to put the dogs in their crate. And yes, I know it's terrible, but they sleep in a crate in the garage at night...After getting back to sleep, I woke again at 6:30 am to my alarm signaling me that it's time to get up and get Will ready for school and out the door at 7:15 am. After hitting the snooze twice I decided it was really time to get up. (The entire house was sound asleep and it was still dark). After successfully getting Will fed and dressed, he made it out the door with Daddy at 7:15.

Now that Daddy & Will were gone I wanted to take Dargan for a simple walk. Sounds nice, doesn't it? First I made Dargan some juice and a bag of nilla wafers and we went out to the garage to get the bike trailer/stroller ready. Did I mention that Rusty did not want me to have 3 strollers so we (he) got rid of my jog stroller which I really wish I still had!!!While I was assembling the handlebar onto the stroller, Dargan walked out to the front yard. As I finished up, he came back in the garage and announced "Mommy poopy!!!!" Great, I said-here we go....We proceeded back into the house to change the poopy diaper and while I was getting the diaper and wipes ready Dargan walks over to the kitchen and pulls down the halfway open box of nilla wafers and dumps them all over the floor. Great, once again...We get the diaper business over with and head back outside. I then have to pump the tires after realizing they are flat....Once they are pumped, I have to retrieve Dargan from the front porch and then I realize I need to move the van b/c our garage is too damn small for us to move the bike trailer out while the van is parked in it!!!!Thank you DR Horton!!!!(Terrible builder, by the way) As I open the van door to put Dargan in his seat so I won't run over him, I get hit in the back by the van door. Ouch..that hurt..So we move the van into the driveway and put Dargan in the stroller to suddenly realze he's already downed all the apple juice I gave him for the bike trip. Oh well, little man I guess you'll just have to suffer through it! And that was my morning, how was yours?????

Go Vikings!!!

Will & his friend Chesny Farber

Mackinley Farber

Mommy & Will ready for the game

Every Sunday during football season we go over to the Farber's house to watch the Minnesota Vikings games. The Farber are about the only people we know who like the Vikings as much as we do!!!Will has always enjoyed going over to play with Chesny, esp. since they now have turtles, a new puppy and a dock for crabbing. By the way, I sold them their new house in Horlbeck Creek. They used to live in Legend Oaks in Summerville and that was an hour trip for us every Sunday. I'm glad we don't have to make that trip anymore...The Vikings won the game on this Sunday. It must have been my Vikings jersey and earrings....

Gettin' ready for Halloween

Halloween, Halloween, Halloween-you just gotta love it! I think I have as many if not more Halloween decorations as I do Christmas ones. I just love this time of year when the weather starts cooling off (well, sometimes here in Charleston) and we all get to enjoy some new fall tv shows and the kids get settled in school. Such a nice time of year before all the winter bugs come out and it's time to stay home with sick kids. Now that's no fun at all!!!I'm still having a hard time deciding whether Will & Dargan should get flu shots. It seems that some people think that kids should get them and others say no way. What to do????I just hate to think about how hard that trip to the doctor will be! "We are on our way to get flu shots"--how bad is that for a kid to hear??? Do I just lie about where we are going and then spring it on 'em at the last minute before the needle goes into their little legs??Oh well, I guess I will put that decision off for a few more weeks....

Wasted Time????

I have officially spent almost 3 hours reading blogs from women all over the U.S. Could this be considered wasting time???I have always loved to read and it's just reading, right? I could sit here ALL day reading blogs, am I crazy??? It's so much fun...I need to get up and blow dry my hair or it's going to be crazy all day, but I can't seem to tear myself away from this computer. I have on my Minnesota Vikings jersey at this moment because we are going over to a friends house this afternoon to watch the game. Truthfully, I could care less about the game, I just do it to support the hubby. Most of the time I end up chasing the boys around the entire afternoon. If I could just sit there and eat and drink beer I guess it would be pretty fun!!! Dargan's going to be waking up in a few minutes and I am forcing myself to get off the computer...Later.
