Last Day of 5K...

The last day of kindergarten was bittersweet for me and my little guy. One minute we were all excited that school was out for the summer and the next, we were sad that we would miss our favorite teachers and friends. I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster and was near tears all day (I did not expect that at all!) My little guy actually told his teacher on the last day - "I don't want school to be over, I'm going to miss you and school." It's hard to get so attached during the school year then to only start it all over in a few months with new friends and new teachers. I guess that is what life is all about though. Nobody ever said it would be EASY, right?

Big Brother received a special award in his last 9 weeks of 5K-The "Terrific Kid" Award. Needless to say our family was very excited and so...proud of him!

I had a bad day....

It's been a typical Monday for me.

1) Big Brother is on DAY 6 of having a high fever (@ 103 degrees) and feeling just terrible,

2) Our air conditioner upstairs is broken and I'm sitting here typing this post in 90 degree heat,

3) The entire belongings of my house are packed up (not in an orderly fashion) in a BIG pile downstairs so that we can have new carpet installed tomorrow, and

4) My family of 4 is temporarily camped out downstairs on our mattresses.

Is that enough bad news for a Monday?

Needless to say, I am NOT Happy!!!

Potty training this past week has been a SUCCESS! My little guy has finally got it ( I hope) and as a REWARD picked out his very own Power Rangers underwear! Talk about excited! The little guy is so.. proud of himself. And Mommy is very THANKFUL.
